Sports camps: More than 100 local youngsters aged from seven-to-14 years took part in ten different sporting activities at Kirkby Stephen over the Easter holiday.
The two-staged event, the first a three-day multi sports camp and the second, a four-day football camp, were both led by qualified staff and were held at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School's sports facilities.
The first camp, which took place during the first week of the holidays attracted 40 youngsters who were able to try their hand at tennis, basketball, netball, table tennis, volleyball, football, rugby, cricket, badminton and hockey. The second camp, run by Newcastle United, attracted more than 60 youngsters who all received certificates and mementos of their time with Newcastle's coaching team.
