KIRKBY Stephen Grammar School student Dan Dillon is looking forward to playing for Carlisle United again following his debut at Brunton Park.
Dan, 16, played in the end-of-season match against Bournemouth in front of 7,000 fans.
Dillon, who also plays for the Kirkby Stephen under-16s, told the Messenger: "You really feel the pressure when you are in front of 7,000 fans. You just don't want to make a mistake. Thankfully I didn't.
"It was brilliant to get on and the fans were very good. I thought I played all right."
Two goals in the last four minutes from substitute James Hayter condemned Carlisle to final-day 2-0 defeat, but left Dan wanting more. He has signed a three-year contract with the club known as a scholarship which starts in July when he will be part of a United youth team which is taking part in the Milk Cup, a competition staged in Ireland, which involves youth teams from all over the world, including big name clubs such as Juventus and Inter Milan.
Dan is currently studying for his 11 GCSE exams.
