- Thin out seedlings of annuals and vegetables sown last month.
- Clear spring bedding as it begins to go over. Fork some organic material into the soil, leaving it to rest for a few days before replanting with summer bedding plants.
- Continue to stake tall herbaceous plants such as delphiniums, before strong winds have a chance to blow them over.
