BENJAMIN Mitchell stamped himself out as a rising star in the tennis world by winning the Bowker North of England Junior Tennis Championships for Under-18s.
It is a marvellous achievement by Benjamin of Pennard House, Uplands Drive, Arnside for he is still only 16.
He took the title by beating his Wrexham-based opponent in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
As well as taking the Under-18 singles title, Benjamin came runner-up in the Under-21 competition and he and his partner were beaten finalists in the Under-18 boys doubles.
So far his success has earned him a prestigious 2.1 National Lawn Tennis Association rating very high for a boy of his age.(D3E067SB2)
