AUCTIONEERS Penrith Farmers' & Kidd's plc have been nominated for a top national award for the quality of their fine art and furniture business.
The PF&K auction room at Skirsgill, near Penrith, is one of only three nominees to be short listed for "Auction House of the Year" in the north of the M62 category - and the only one in the North West - in the British Antiques and Collectables Awards (BACA).
The winner will be announced at a gala awards evening and dinner at London's Dorchester Hotel on June 24.
Antiques expert and TV personality Eric Knowles is chairman of the judges, who will be assessing three criteria: customer service; availability of specialist knowledge or willingness to research; and quality of catalogues.
