PARKING charges earned the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority £338,900 last year.
More than 240,000 visitors used the authority's 12 car parks between in the 12 months up to April 2003.
Jon Avison, head of park management, said: "It is encouraging to see an increase in visitors using our car parks. It gives a clear sign that visitors are returning to the park and making their valuable contribution to the local economy."
