MEMBERS of Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team were called to Clappersgate at Ambleside on Saturday afternoon to help a man from the Derby area who had slipped on a path and broken his lower leg.
He was taken off the fell on a stretcher by members of the team.
On Sunday lunchtime, the team attended Low Wood at Skellghyll near Ambleside where a 64-year-old woman from Cambridge had slipped on a grassy path and had a possible broken lower leg.
She was also taken off the fell by stretcher.
Both casualties were taken to the Westmorland General Hospital at Kendal.
