ONE of Europe's greatest circuses is coming to Lancaster.
The Cottle and Austen new-style electric circus is a fast-moving production from the producers of the Moscow State Circus and the Chinese State Circus.
Brilliantly lit and sparkling with energy, the show will be quite unlike anything most audiences have ever seen.
The circus guarantees some of the funniest clowns ever headed by Portugal's favourite clown Titto, who will be ghost-busting in the haunted big-top.
Audiences will be treated to amazing African acrobats, world-class trapeze troupe the Flying Jansens and the world's smallest man Pityu.
With more than 40 artistes, the show which is now in its fifth year also includes hula-hoop girl Yana Rodianova and motorcycling daredevils.
The South Lakes Citizen has teamed up with the Cottle and Austen Circus to give away 15 family tickets (four per family) worth a total of £1,200 to the Ryelands Park show on June 5 and 6.
All you have to do to enter is answer the question and send it on a postcard to: Circus competition, South Lakes Citizen, 22 Stricklandgate, Kendal, LA9 4NE, to arrive by 9am next Tuesday.
QUESTION: What is the name of the hoola-hoop girl?
Employees of Newsquest (Kendal) Ltd and their families are not eligible to enter. There is no cash alternative to the prize. The editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners must agree to participate in any publicity connected with this promotion.
