CENTER Parcs has won the go-ahead for a £13 million expansion to its popular Oasis holiday village at Whinfell Forest, near Penrith.
Eden planners have given their consent for the firm to create a luxurious new health and beauty spa in the country club at Oasis and to add 50 top-of-the-range lodges to the village's existing 840 lodges and apartments.
Center Parcs employs more than 1,100 staff at Oasis and expects the new development to generate 50 jobs and provide extra work for local suppliers and contractors.
