AFTER their first season in the Kendal and District Division 4 League - played weekly at Kendal Leisure centre -the C Team, made up of Robert Hook, Joss Livsey and Gary Deighton were unbeaten all season in both singles matches and doubles.
Despite their unbeaten record, they have not become league champions, due to the rules on points per game and not matches won, they were pushed out of the winning spot by one point and took second place to Dallam C team.
Despite the disappointment, the team played fantastically well and have earned themselves a position in next season's Division 3 league, starting in October.
Mike Sunderland said: "A thank you must go to parents for the transportation and to Dave White, of Kirkby Stephen Table Tennis Club. Well done Rob, Joss and Gary - you were robbed."
