A LAKE District outdoor pursuits outfit is trading facilities with a neighbouring community development centre.
The collaboration between the Coniston-based Raymond Priestly Centre for Outdoor Pursuits and Field Studies and the Community Development Centre will see the two organisations exchanging expertise.
Staff at the outdoor pursuits base will make use of the computer facilities at the development centre, while local business training at the centre will use the outdoor pursuits base for outdoor activities and team development training.
Although in its formative stages the idea has been encouraged by Business Link for Cumbria, which has been involved in the development of both centres.
Business Link adviser Howard Holland said the venture would be a great benefit to the community.
