A CAR technician has become one of the first in the country to gain master technician status from Audi.
Former apprentice Paul Wood, who joined Volkswagen Audi dealer Hadwins Lindale Ltd 19 years ago, scored an average of 98 per cent in tests by Audi after an intensive six-week training course.
The success makes him one of the highest ranked technicians in the country.
Mr Wood will now liaise with Audi Germany on the latest developments in design and repair, and will be responsible for training and assisting colleagues.
Hadwins Audi service manager Mike Butler said: "This course required a great deal of commitment from Paul, his wife Ann and their children and a significant investment by the company, so we are delighted with his achievements."
