WATERSKIERS reached an astonishing 90mph towed by high-speed offshore powerboats in a special series of races on Windermere.
A brave lady in this extreme water sport where a fall usually means a broken leg at the very least was British champion Kim Lumley who was preparing for the world championships later this year in California she finished second in both races to British team member Karl Brookes, beating many men.
