ONE of the biggest issues of recent times the proposed Heysham to M6 link road tops a county council list of priorities for transport in the area.
Lancashire County Council's transport working group has inspected blueprints for seven schemes and produced two lists of projects they want to see under way - one for public transport and one for road schemes.
The Heysham to M6 link heads the recommended list of major schemes to be included in the Local Transport Plan.
Cllr Colin Waite says: "All the schemes we looked at had the potential to have a positive impact on travel in Lancashire and so deciding on a priority order was very tough. The amount of money for major schemes is limited so we have to choose carefully to get the best possible value for money."
