A NEWLY-built Church of England Primary School at Settle, North Yorkshire, has been officially opened. The new £1.5 million school replaces the original Settle CE school which was built in 1857 and had become too small. The 159 pupils at the school will now have the benefit of an electric whiteboard in every classroom of the brand new building. The children have chosen the colour scheme themselves and the school is painted in bright primary colours. The Rev Stewart Ridley, vicar of Settle parish, said: "We are absolutely delighted that we now have an up-to-date, state-of-the-art school for the children."
