The Gazette website is launching its first Ecard competition, Take A Peak, to celebrate the new Ecard service.
Each participant can send in one Lake District image taken during 2005 whilst exploring the region. The image must feature one of the peaks, fell tops or a view from on high. The top 12 will be featured in a new Ecard section, with credit given to the photographer.
"We thought this would be a great opportunity for Lake District visitors to have their favourite photograph from 2005 available to the world as an Ecard," says Wed Editor Kate Whiteside.
The deadline for entries is January 30, 2006 and the new section will be live shortly after. There is specific entry criteria outlined in the Ecards, Photo Gallery and Competition sections on the site.
Email entries, with registration details, to the Web Editor kate.whiteside@kendal.newsquest.co.uk.
