THE proposed closure of two wards for people with mental health problems at Kendal's Westmorland General Hospital Ward 2 for older people and Ward 4 for adults which are part of cost-cutting measures put forward by Morecambe Bay Primary Care Trust have continued to spark opposition.
This week, a consultant psychiatrist told health reporter Michaela Robinson-Tate about her fears, while a public meeting heard of plans to improve community care for older people.
