A STRING of tea rooms is tasting success after forming Tea Trail Cumbria, which enables visitors to enjoy a blend of the countryside with farmhouse produce.
Tea Trail Cumbria was launched in March this year when 11 members of the Rural Women's Network decided to market themselves as a trail around the county.
The farm and rural tea shops are featured on a map that highlights each tea room and attractions in each area. They include Yew Tree Farm Walkers' Tearoom at Coniston; Low Sizergh Barn Farm Shop and Tearoom, near Kendal; and Stone Close in Dent.
A total of 20,000 trail leaflets have been distributed, and the scheme has proved so successful that it is hoped more tearooms will come on board. For further details, log on to www.golakes.co.uk/ teatrailcumbria
