LOCAL darter Mick Connerton kept his eye on the bull to become the Pontin's Darts Champion 2005.
The 36-year-old, of Edenvale Crescent, Lancaster, triumphed over 35 other contestants who had returned to the finals after winning heats in the competition, which attracted hundreds of entrants at the eight Pontin's centres over the summer.
In the Grand Final, he beat Paul Nation from West Glamorgan 3 1 and received a cheque for £500 and the winner's trophy.
In addition to darts, where he is a Cumbria County Team Player and is looking forward to turning professional one day, Mick enjoys fishing and football.
