HALF a dozen men ganged up on a 16-year-old boy outside a Kendal pub on Thursday evening, assaulting him before stealing his bag, say police. The boy, who was approached by the men outside the Cock and Dolphin pub on Milnthorpe Road, ran off towards Anchorite Road following the attack, in which his Lowe Alpine rucksack and its contents were taken. THIEVES who broke into two vehicles parked at Shap Fell stole goods and a credit card some time between 4.15pm and 5.05pm on Monday, November 7. The credit card was then used just 25 minutes later at a service station on the A65 near Kendal.

A YAMAHA quad bike worth £4,000 was stolen from a farm building at Eldroth, near Clapham, some time between 1pm on Thursday, November 10, and 9am the following day.

THIEVES made off with cash from fruit machines after breaking into the bar area of Netherfield Cricket Club. The incident took place in the early hours of Friday, November 11.

VALUABLES and property worth more than £330 was stolen from a log cabin at Gatebeck Caravan Park in Endmoor. The incident took place over a three-week period and was reported to Cumbria Police on Friday (November 11).

DAMAGE was caused to two automatic car wash machines in Moor Lane and Camp Road, Flookburgh, between 8pm on Sunday (November 13) and 7.30am the following morning when thieves attempted to steal the cash from inside. They escaped with £10.

n VANDALS smashed a window at Musgraves shop in Main Road, Windermere, some time overnight on Sunday (November 13). They caused over £800 of damage.

n THE Magistrates Court in Burneside Road, Kendal, was the subject of vandalism overnight on Monday (November 14), when a window was smashed with a rock.

A MERCEDES Sprinter van, with Parcel Line' lettering on the side, was stolen from a compound at Parkside Road, Kendal, some time between 4pm on Monday (November 15) and 4.20am the following morning.

A SILVER Ifor Williams double axle cow trailer was stolen from the Harrison and Hetherington Auction Mart in Kirkby Stephen on Tuesday (November 15). The 14ft trailer was carrying the registration number D699 STN.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to step forward after two men were assaulted in Kendal in the early hours of Friday morning. The attack occurred in New Road at around 1am when a large crowd of people were in the area. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Kendal Police on 01539-722611.
