OPERATION Christmas Child is ready to swing into action in the Lancaster district.
The seasonal charity's new warehouse is at Evans Marquees in Wyresdale Road, Lancaster, close to Hornsea Pottery.
It will be open from 9.15am to 4.45pm daily from next Tuesday, November 15, until December 20 to accept shoebox gifts from local people to be shipped overseas in time for Christmas.
But more volunteers are needed to help with the appeal which will help needy children in Eastern Europe.
All helpers will be given a warm welcome - more details are from Angela on 01524-734793.
OFFICIAL drop-off points for shoebox gifts are Asda superstore, Ovangle Road; Briggs Shoe Mines, Morecambe promenade; VVV Health & Leisure, Hest Bank; Christian Book Shop, Mary Street, Lancaster. The Citizen, at Victoria Court, Penny Street, will also accept shoebox gifts.
