SIXTY years on since Trevor Howard removed grit from Celia Johnson's eye and started one of cinema's favourite romances, the duo are set for a few more brief encounters during two special screenings.
Romantic classic Brief Encounter will be shown twice on November 26 in the Furness & Midland Hall at Carnforth Station Visitor Centre, to mark the milestone.
Members of the Friends of Carnforth Station will be leading guided tours around the restored station and the famous Refreshment Room, where tea lady Beryl Walters did most of her flirting.
The only surviving member of the cast, Margaret Barton, who played Beryl, will be doing a star turn and talking about the making of the film.
Tickets for either of the Saturday showings at 3pm and 7.30pm, which include a screening of classic 1936 documentary Night Mail, cost £5 and are available from The Dukes Box Office, Lancaster, on 01524-598500.
