CONCERTS at Brantwood are a splendid platform for young professional musicians.
The former Coniston home of John Ruskin begins its new series Saturday, 7pm, with a performance by Harpham String Quartet, featuring Rhapsodic Quintet by Herbert Howells and Samuel Barber's String Quartet.
Clarinettist James Meldrum will augment the foursome for a performance of the Brahms' Clarinet Quintet.
Second in the series of four concerts is the Northern Flute Quartet on December 3 performing works by Mozart, Piazzola, Castarade and Schubert.
Tickets are £12 and include wine and canaps and available on 015394-41396.
