ONE of Lancaster's most successful firms has announced new plans to expand its base.
SWS UK, formed 20 years ago with a workforce of just four people, now employs more than 200 manufacturing, office, sales and installation staff.
And it is to get even bigger in order to meet the demand for its security products and services from businesses across the UK.
Project engineer Jens Fogh, from Denmark, has been employed to oversee the development and expansion of the firm's Claughton head-quarters, including a new sales office space on a mezzanine floor above the factory floor.
The company has two planning applications pending for the changes which will also include providing a works canteen, meeting rooms and a workshop as well as upgrading the roads and car-parking on the site and creating disabled access to the first floor offices.
