ULVERSTON nightclub Buffers has lost its appeal to end a last entry licensing condition stopping admissions beyond midnight.

The Cinderella' ruling was imposed by South Lakeland District Council last year after residents living around the Station Approach nightclub complained that club-goers were blighting their lives with anti-social behaviour.

But the club argued that the restriction was unreasonable since many Ulverston pubs had secured 1am licences.

After a Furness Magistrates Court hearing on Wednesday, magistrates upheld the condition, meaning club-goers will still have to be inside the club by midnight even though the venue does not shut until 2am.
