I WISH to submit the following test for consideration by readers.

It only has one question but it's a very important one - and by giving an honest answer you will discover where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation where you have to make a decision. Your answer needs to be honest yet spontaneous.

You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. You are a photo journalist working for a major newspaper and there is chaos all around caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. The situation is near hopeless and you are trying to shoot career-making photos.

Suddenly you see two men floundering in the water, fighting for their lives while trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer... the men look familiar and you realise that they are George W Bush, President of the USA, and Prime Minister Tony Blair.

You have two options, you can save the lives of both men or you can shoot a Pulitzer Prize winning photo documenting the death of two of the world's most powerful men.

So here's the question, and please give an honest answer. Would you select high contrast colour film or go for the classic simplicity of black and white?

S Williams, Morecambe.
