MORECAMBE police are appealing for help to trace a man who propositioned a teenage girl walking along South Road.
PC Lance Thomson says the girl was left distressed' by the incident at lunchtime on Sunday, October 16.
He says that a dark coloured saloon car was parked with its engine running on South Road, close to the junction with Farnlea Avenue, when the girl approached.
The driver asked her where she was going and, when she ignored him, he persisted and asked if she wanted a lift. When the girl then took out her mobile phone he shouted abuse at her.
The car is described as a dark saloon and the driver as sounding like he was between 30 and 40.
PC Thomson asks that anyone who recalls such a vehicle on South Road at that time or who has any information should call him on 01524-63333.
