Why not raise your glasses to this week's Prizetime offering lucky readers the chance to win a guide to where you can find the perfect pint in South Lakeland.
The Westmorland branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is holding its popular CAMRA Westmorland Beer Festival next week and to celebrate we are offering three lucky readers the chance to win the CAMRA 2006 Good Beer Guide and a Cumbria Real Ale Guide.
The 12th Westmorland Beer Festival will be held in the Assembly Room, upstairs in Kendal Town Hall from Wednesday October 26 to Saturday October 29. The event is open from noon to 11pm and admission is free. A vast array of some of the finest real ales of Britain will be on offer together with a selection of ciders and foreign beers. For the first time this year's festival will be totally non-smoking. On the Saturday evening The New Riverside Jazz Band will provide a lively finale. Those attending the Festival will be able to take away a commemorative glass. There will also be the opportunity to join The Campaign For Real Ale and enjoy special membership offers at the festival and elsewhere.
The 2006 Good Beer Guide is full of information on where to find the perfect pint as well as details of the numerous real ale breweries of Britain both big and small. It is an indispensable guide and makes an ideal present.
This year the local branches of CAMRA have combined to produce the "Cumbria Real Ale Guide Including the Lake District". Listing Cumbria's real ale outlets in a handy sized guide it is perfect for the pocket or rucksack. It is available at various outlets in the region priced at £3.95.
For a chance of winning one of the three sets of beer guides, simply answer the question and send it to me, Andrew Daniels, CAMRA Competition, South Lakes Citizen, 1 Wainwright's Yard, Kendal, LA9 4DP, or email it to andrew.daniels@kendal.newsquest.co.uk before 9am next Tuesday October 25 (including your name address and telephone number).
Employees of Newsquest (Kendal) and their families are not eligible to enter. There is no cash alternative to the prize. The editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners must agree to participate with any publicity connected with this promotion.
Question: When will this year's Westmorland Beer Festival be held?
