A SOUTH Lakeland business has been recognised as one of the best of its kind in the country at the industry's equivalent of the Oscars.
Digital printing firm Absolute was shortlisted for a top prize in the UK Print Week Awards, which celebrate the cream of the industry.
The Kendal firm was one of five shortlisted for the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) company of the Year accolade, for businesses employing up to 50 staff and with a turnover of less than £5 million.
The firm's track record to date makes impressive reading: Absolute made a profit in its first year, beating its own sales target by 50 per cent, and has not looked back since.
The business moved to larger premises at Kendal's Riverside Business Park, formerly K Shoes factories, in August last year, to help cope with the growing workload, and has seen its turnover more than double in its second year.
