I WOULD like to respond to the letter from T Goodwin of West-gate, published in the Citizen two weeks ago.
I was in the Happy Mount Park sometime in May or June with my four-year-old grandson and was asked to take part in a survey by an attendant.
I completed the questionnaire to say I was against an Aqua-park, as like Mr Goodwin and previous writer D Knight, I felt it was a mistake to change a winning recipe' as shown by the large number of pool users. I have not met anyone locally in favour of the scheme.
Following D Knight's sug-gestion I wrote to three Torris-holme councillors, via the Town Hall, asking to know the result of the questionnaire. To date, I have received no reply.
Were any other local residents approached? Perhaps someone from the council would have the decency to reply, explaining at the same time why it costs more to maintain a cold-water pool than a heated shower-bath.
J Senior, Morecambe.
