A NEW exhibition of specimens collected by the late John Hamer of Ingleton a collector, who lived to be over 90 is to open at Kendal Museum.
More than 2,000 specimens including beautiful ruby crystals from Myanmar and spectacular tourmaline crystals from Brazil are included as are items collected from long disused mines in the Lake District.
The display, together with a complete catalogue, original note books, charts and a map locating mine sites will be officially opened on Wed-nesday October 26.
