Craven, Harrogate and Rural District Primary Care Trust is moving smoke-free plans forward.
AS PART of its commitment to set a positive example and protect patients, visitors and healthcare staff from the risks of second-hand smoke, all premises and grounds owned the Trust, including Settle Health Centre, will be going smoke-free from December 31 this year.
The PCT has now begun a countdown to advertise the forthcoming change of policy to make sure that everyone using PCT premises and grounds is aware of the ban.
It also gives members of staff who want to quit the opportunity to access support prior to the policy coming into effect.
