LOTS of recognisable melodies, witty lyrics, and slick dance routines with plenty of comedy thrown in for good measure.
That's how Lancaster Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society describe the show they will be setting before a city audience next week.
The Cole Porter musical Anything Goes' has enjoyed many revivals the latest being a National Theatre version in 2003 but this is the first time it has been staged at Lancaster's Grand Theatre.
Renowned as one of the finest musicals,LADOS. says Anything Goes' has been chosen as their annual production because of the renewed interest in Cole Porter following the recent film De-Lovely', based on his life story.
Rehearsals under the watchful eyes of director Peggy Brierley, musical director Angela Pearson and choreographer Nicola Read have been going on since last September to be prepared for first night next Monday, March 7, at 7.15pm.
The show will run nightly through to Saturday, March 12. Tickets are available now at the theatre box office or by calling 01524-64695.
