The Houghton Weavers will perform at the Platform in Morecambe on Friday, March 18, at 8pm, as part of their 30th anniversary tour.
The group made their television debut in 1975 in the BBC talent show We'll Call You'. They were so successful that within a couple of months they were given their own show Sit Thi Deawn' which continued for six series over seven years and had the highest viewing figures ever for a regional TV programme.
As well as their own show, The Weavers have appeared on many other national TV programmes for both BBC and ITV including Jim'll Fix It', This is Your Life' and The Video Entertainers'.
