LANCASTER is to convulse to the sound of punk blues on two nights of sweat-pouring, manic shaking music.
City favourites The Convulsions hit two pubs back-to-back for shows that have to be seen to be believed.
Lead singer Ben Ruth certainly shakes as the band delves into roots as diverse as the Yardbirds, the Animals and Screaming Lord Sutch.
Along for the ride and supporting the band throughout their UK tour - is Texan rock-chick Tiffany Shea (pictured) a Dallas dynamo who regularly sells out in the States, for eye-catching, hair-raising gigs.
Convulsions were originally based in Chicago when Ben Ruth, band founder, decided to show the Americans British Punk Blues.
They play the Ye Olde John O'Gaunt, Market Street, Lancaster, on Sunday, March 27 and the Sun Hotel, Church Street, a day later.
The Old John' gig kicks off at 8.30pm, while they hit the Sun stage at 9pm but be early, these boys pack places to the rafters.
Says an excited Tiffany: "I am so ready to rock the Motherland! I can hardly wait!"
And those feelings sum up the excitement around the city.
