A SILVERDALE schoolgirl has been honoured with the county's top young recyclers at a special ceremony.
Natasha Watts attended a Recycle for Schools' awards presentation to receive a CD player as the greenest' pupil in North Lancashire.
Every pupil at every primary school in the county was asked to get parents, friends, relatives and neighbours to sign pledges committing to recycling.
Pester-power proved to be a success with a total of 5,000 pupils securing almost 40,000 pledges to keep Lancashire on course to reach its latest recycling target.
Natasha, who attends St John's Primary School in Silverdale, won 73 pledges of help and also helped her school to become best in the area with 575 pledges.
