A LANCASTER man died when he was thrown from his car after a crash on the M6.
Mubeen Iqbal Patel, 25, of Dallas Road, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Preston Royal Infirmary after an horrific accident on the motorway at 6pm on Friday.
Police say Mr Patel's Renault Clio veered out of control as he travelled north on the busy motorway near Garstang, ploughing into the central reservation before somer-saulting into the side of a tanker wagon.
The car finished up on its roof upside down on the central reservation.
Mr Patel was thrown from the car and suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the tanker involved, a 46-year-old man from Huddersfield, was not injured in the incident.
