RIO Ferdinand play-a-like Andy Scott scooped the man of the match honours as Lancaster City dug deep for a draw at Conference North leaders Southport.
Scott's team-mates reckon he looks and plays something like the Man United and England star and he excelled against the dangerous Terry Fearns.
The ex-Southport man was outstanding on his return to his old club and says: "It's always nice to come back and put in a good performance.
"We didn't play too well but we worked hard and they only had one decent chance.
"We put a good performance in against the top of the league side and that's what we need to carry on doing for the rest of the season."
Manager Phil Wilson was happy enough with the 0-0 draw but knows his men need to play like that for the rest of the campaign.
Says Wilson: "We worked very, very hard and got a result and that's all that matters.
"We defended well and Scotty did a fantastic job but we had the corners and all sorts of pressure towards the end - and Joe McMahon nearly scored."
Southport's bitter boss Liam Watson whinged and whined after the match about City's spoiling tactics Wilson had three men in attack but he was deluding himself if he thought his side were better.
Wilson will not enter into a verbal spat with anyone but Watson's moans are testament to how far City have come.
They aimed to continue their improved run of form against Kettering Town at the Giant Axe on Saturday.
