A DARK comedy performed by Lancaster University Theatre Group gives an intriguing twist to Mary Shelley's story of grim obsession, romance and revenge- Frankenstein.
Based on the novel, Frankenstein: The Recreation is performed at the Lancaster Grand Theatre on Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26, at 7.30pm.
Victor Frankenstein is a young man, forced to leave both his home and Elizabeth, his one true love, to embark on a journey of education and self-discovery when he begins to formulate the idea of creating life from lifeless matter.
However playing God has conse-quences even Victor couldn't imagine.
With mad scientists, crazy hunchbacks, nosy peasants and a creature who just wants to be loved, Frankenstein: the Recreation is a gothic romance with a humorous twist, which is both written and directed by Lancaster University students.
