A LANCASTER church is holding one of Britain's longest prayer meetings to improve its Christian care to the community.
Members of St Thomas's Church are praying 24 hours a day for 47 days through Lent.
People or groups are being asked to take one of the 1,128 hour-long slots to pray. In the first week, only two of the 148 prayer spaces remained empty.
