MORECAMBE look to bounce back from the shock of defeat at Crawley Town when they take a trip to Burton Albion in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

The last-16 tie offers the Shrimps a chance to get Monday night's Sky TV defeat out of their system ahead of two tricky Conference away fixtures.

They hit the M1 to Stevenage on Tuesday and on Saturday week head to Hereford United - and realistically they need points from both of those games to maintain any hopes of making the play-offs.

Monday's defeat in the snow was largely down to individual errors but the Shrimps have the capability to bounce back, as last week's GLS Cup win over Carlisle United proved.

Harvey dedicated that win to Morecambe's Red Army, who turned out in force for what some people had described as a meaningless game.

Harvey told the Citizen: "It was a real good crowd for us and they created a cracking atmosphere. The fans were hungry for the win and it was a good game of football."

Even after Monday's defeat confidence is high around Christie Park, according to the manager.

"There is a good feeling about the place," says Harvey.

"When players are playing they don't think about what the tournament is; they go out there to compete and the boys were happy with the win.

"In the Carlisle game the players were under a lot of pressure and stress with the extra time and then the penalty kicks - so of course you want to win the game.

"They are relieved that all their effort has amounted to something even though the competition itself may be a little less of a priority for us."

And those words perfectly echo the feelings ahead of Saturday's crunch with Nigel Clough's Burton.
