TRADE is on the up for one Kendal business, which is set to double up and open a second shop in the town.
Lune will sell a range of Chinese Herbal Medicines as well as offering the arts of acupuncture and acupressure from the new Kendal base, at Wainwright's Yard, agents Robert Pinkus confirmed this week.
The company, owned by geophysicist Mengyu Hu, already has a store in Kendal's Blackhall Yard and is using the new unit to expand in the town.
Expert acupuncturist Professor Li Jijun will practice at the new shop, which is equipped with consultation and treatment rooms.
He will join Dr Li Yan Shi, who worked as an acupuncture specialist in Beijing's main hospital, and who has been based at the Blackhall Yard store for two years.
Lune will stock a range of complementary herbal remedies - used to make prescription formulas for individuals - as well as Chinese patent medicines that are available over the counter.
The new store will carry a range of jewellery, many pieces of which use precious stones and are flown in from China, as well as crafted handbags, purses, silk scarves and crystal ornamental ware.
