A STUPENDOUS array of literary talent is promised at Lancaster's Yorkshire House on Friday as Spotlight starts its Spring parade.

After the Tenth Annual Balloon Debate, which raised £200 for the Tsunami Relief Fund, it's back to business with poet Carole Coates leading the line.

Carole has had work published in magazines and journals and was also in the 2004 Arvon Poetry Anthology.

She will be reading from a new collection of her work, The Goodbye Edition, to be published in July.

Back-up comes from Ann Wilson, who will be performing a mixture of poetry and songs on the themes of travel and beating low self worth.

Making his Spotlight debut is Sam Barker, now in his second year at Lancaster University studying English Literature and creative writing.

Completing the literary line-up up will be Donald Read, while music comes from Chris Foster.

The parade kicks off at 8.30pm with an open Mic session from 8.45 to 9.15pm.
