IT'S championship Sunday as Vale of Lune's exceptional women's team aim to claim the Premiership II title in their first season at national level.
The Vale side have swept all before them over the course of the season and welcome Alton to the main pitch at Powder House Lane for what should be a day to remember.
Vale have lost just once this season and tackle second from bottom Alton knowing a win will guarantee silverware.
Even if they lose, Vale are still in the box seat with a game at Richmond in April.
"It's been a great season," says manager Sue Garnett.
"The girls have been fantastic and I just hope a few people come down to cheer us on."
The game starts at 2pm and admission is free.
