CARNFORTH Rangers blew a two-goal lead as they suffered a miserable day at Lytham on Saturday.
Rangers crashed 3-2 to Wren Rovers and to add insult to injury the dressing rooms were broken into while the game went on with cash, keys and mobile phones stolen.
The game was played in abysmal conditions but Rangers should have claimed three points to close the gap at the top of the league. Instead they came away with nothing after making too many errors in defence.
Rangers took the lead after 15 minutes with a penalty and a second soon followed when Liam Steele converted from close range.
They should have had a third a shot appeared to be handled on the line but the referee waved away penalty appeals.
From then on the game changed and defensive errors saw Wren score two goals within minutes - and a third followed not long after.
Rangers look to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they entertain Norcross & Warbreck.
