LANCASTER City are determined to put FA Trophy disappointment behind them as they look to move up the Nationwide Conference North table.
The Dolly Blues were due to host Alfreton Town last night (Tuesday) and will travel to Birmingham for a game with Moor Green on Saturday in pursuit of vital points.
And although they lost to Morecambe, City took great heart from that game and boss Phil Wilson says: "It shows that we are doing OK if we can compete with the likes of Morecambe and Scarborough.
"We are trying to build something here and things are coming together.
"The Conference North is a tight, tough league for us but we are doing OK. We have to show the same effort in the league as we did against Morecambe - and two or three wins will put us right back up there because everyone is beating everyone else."
Keeper Jamie Speare, man-of-the-match against More-cambe, is also ready to turn his attention towards picking up league points.
Speare declares: "We need the points now to get where we should be in the top six. I hope we can carry these sort of performances on and maintain our form because then we will have a chance."
