I WOULD like to thank everyone who helped to make Holocaust Memo-rial Day in Lancaster such a success, particularly those who I will not be able to contact in any other way - such as the ones who attended as part of the audience and then had the courage and inspiration to speak out.
Some very moving and life-affirming things were said which only added to our feelings about the importance of acting to ensure that nothing like the Holocaust ever happens again.
I would also like to thank all those who attended. I know it made an immense difference to the people who came as members of groups who were targetted by the Nazis to feel so much support.
The point was made during the event, that although so many people died, the Nazis did not succeed in eradicating the cultures.
And finally of course, I offer my thanks to the many people who helped in the planning of the event and on the day.
Some donated time, money, rooms or goods, The Sultan acted as caterer and it felt like a big step forward to have the Muslim community involved NCBI were a solid support but it could not have happened without the support of every one of you.
