A YOUNGSTER who terrified shoppers in Morecambe has been banned from the resort's centre.
The 12-year-old, who cannot be named because of a court order, has been made the subject of an interim anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) banning him from Morecambe town centre unless accompanied by an adult relative.
He must also attend school and not use abusive, threatening, insulting or offensive language in public.
PC John Davis, from Morecambe police, says: "The aims and objectives behind this ASBO are designed to assist this boy in addressing serious issues that were leading him into a life of crime and causing the local community suffering from his activities.
"We will be happy to look at amending the ASBO once he demonstrates that his conduct has improved and elements of the order are no longer required."
The full hearing will be held in March.
