CAF culture could be on its way to Carnforth as part of plans to rejuvenate the town.
Drawings of Market Street packed with shaded seats on wide pavements have been put to the Carnforth and Area Regeneration Partnership.
They are part of preliminary proposals for the town put forward by experts from the Market Towns Initiative - which has seen urban planners Austin Smith Lord enlisted to explore the possibilities for change.
ASL director Neil Chapman says the scheme is about getting the market back into Market Street'.
Around £80,000 from the North West Regional Development Agency has been set aside for the project.
ASL has drawn up a Carnforth Code' of planning principles to guide alterations, which include new shop fronts, street furniture and pavements.
Mr Chapman says the greatest problem to making Carnforth more pedestrian-friendly was the number of heavy goods vehicles driving through the town.
