TOP business boss Dawn Gibbins will kick start a lecture series aimed at boosting young entrepreneurs.
Ms Gibbins, co-founder and chairman of the Flowcrete Group, will headline Lancaster University's management school's Fit for Business' series early next month.
She will explain how she started out in 1982 with a £2,000 bank loan and turned her company into a business with a turnover of more than £25m and 20 offices worldwide.
"She is a dynamic, enthusiastic leader and also a very accomplished speaker and we are delighted she is kick off the series," says entrepreneurial fellow Tricia Calway.
This is the sixth year the school has run lectures in a series jointly funded by Lancaster University and the European Regional Development Fund.
